Course overview
The Certificate in Interior Design Level 1 (Residential) is a training course focused on both the architectural and decorating aspects of interior design. It's the first of two certifciates in our Professional Diploma in Interior Design, and you can choose to study it part time (2 or 3 days / week) or full-time (5 days / week). The 2 and 5-days/week courses start every year in September. The 3-day/week course intake is in January each year.
In this course, you will learn every aspect of the residential interior design process, from the client brief through to design implementation, and graduate with the necessary skills and knowledge to complete an interior design project.
Focusing on two real-world projects (one on interior architecture, one on interior decorating), you will get the chance to interview clients, survey sites, and present your final project to them, giving you a deep understanding of what it’s really like to be an interior designer.
With access to Insight School’s industry contacts, you’ll also be able to develop and expand your network and tap into potential future employers.
