Course overview

The Certificate in Interior Design Level 1 (Residential) is a training course focused on both the architectural and decorating aspects of interior design. Available full or part time, it is the first of two programs in our Professional Diploma in Interior Design.

In this course, you will learn every aspect of the residential interior design process, from the client brief through to design implementation, and graduate with the necessary skills and knowledge to complete an interior design project.

Focusing on two real-world projects (one on interior architecture, one on interior decorating), you will get the chance to interview clients, survey sites, and present your final project to them, giving you a deep understanding of what it’s really like to be an interior designer.
With access to Insight School’s industry contacts, you’ll also be able to develop and expand your network and tap into potential future employers.

Progression

Upon successful completion, graduates may apply for the Certificate in Interior Design - Level 2 (Commercial) to obtain the Diploma in Interior Design.

Requirements

  • There are no formal entry requirements, but applicants must demonstrate a commitment to deal with the heavy workload, as well as the maturity to contribute meaningfully to the group discussions.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old – mature students are particularly encouraged to enrol
  • Competency in basic computer skills is required (literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Students are expected to have a laptop for use during their studies

Tuition fees

Total Fee -  HKD96,000

Early Bird Fee - HKD86,400 (10% discount, save HKD9,600)

To take advantage of the early bird offer, applicants must book and pay the first installment by 30 Jun 2019. 

Payment Plan - Course fee is payable over 2 installments.
